This Was Awesome
In case you missed it, and I’m betting you probably did, have a look at the highlights from Sunday’s epic showdown between Boca Juniors and Independiente at Boca’s La Bombonera stadium:
Let me give you a little background. Going into the match, Independiente were dead last in the league with 0 pts and only 1 goal scored. They were under new management following the previous manager’s resignation a week ago. Boca were top of the league, on a 33 game league undefeated run, and hadn’t conceded a goal yet this year. In fact, they only conceded 6 goals all of last tournament. A lopsided win for Boca was expected. Goal rundown after the jump.
